A mini cupcake is best described as a bite-sized or two-bite treat. They are miniature versions of standard muffins. Mini cupcakes usually measure approximately 1 to 1.25 inches in diameter at the top. The baking tin cavities for mini cupcakes hold about 1/8 cup or 2 tablespoons of batter, which is roughly one-half of a standard-sized cupcake.

A standard cupcake is about twice the size of a mini cupcake. They measure approximately 2 .25 inches across the top, holds 3-4 fluid ounces of batter, and fits in a cupcake tin with cavities around 2.75 inches wide and 1.25 inches deep.

A jumbo cupcake is significantly larger than standard, with pan cups typically 3 to 3.5 inches in diameter and 1.5 to 2.5 inches deep, holding about 3/4 to a full cup (or 8 oz) of batter, making them bakery-sized treats.
