A mini muffin is best described as a bite-sized or two-bite treat. They are miniature versions of standard muffins. Mini muffins usually measure approximately 1 to 1.25 inches in diameter at the top. The baking tin cavities for mini muffins hold about 1/8 cup or 2 tablespoons of batter, which is roughly one-half of a standard-sized muffin.

A standard muffin is about twice the size of a mini muffin. They measure approximately 2 .25 inches across the top, holds 3-4 fluid ounces of batter, and fits in a muffin tin with cavities around 2.75 inches wide and 1.25 inches deep.
